Gallant was formed in the early 1950s by two brothers who worked with their hands. They were carpenters, framing houses and other wooden structures in the Chicago metropolitan area. Through the 1960s, they built structures and built Gallant through hard work, integrity, and always putting the client first.

The founding team’s second generation took the reins in the 1970s—Gallant’s range of carpentry services began to include metal stud framing, and its focus started shifting to commercial construction. Gallant continued to grow through the 70s and 80s as its primary focus evolved from carpentry to general construction services.

Gallant’s current leadership team began to take shape in the early 1990s. Kevin Krak, Gallant’s current President and CEO, came aboard with an engineering degree from Illinois and corporate experience at Mobil Oil, May Department Stores, and Toys “R” Us. Kevin pushed Gallant to expand its general construction capabilities in scope, project size, and geographic range. Gallant’s Facilities Services team was created to assist clients with facility maintenance and management.

Today, Gallant constructs, renovates, remodels and repairs client facilities throughout North America. Gallant has come a long way from its humble beginnings more than half a century ago. But at its core, Gallant has always been—and will continue to be—the same company. Gallant team members still like working with their hands. And their number-one priority is still client delight.
